Hi all
I am doing unsteady simulation with Ansys CFX. Total simulation time is 3s and all data is saved at each time step. Sometimes, CFX solver stops running and quits in the middle of the simulation (for example at t=1.5s). Does anybody know how I can continue the simulation from where it is stopped (from t=1.5s)? Thank you Regards, AshtonJ |

It is called a restart. Use the most recently saved transient results file as an initial condition. Pretty elementary really.
They only trick is the results file needs to contain enough information to do a restart. You will need a transient results file which includes mesh and enough variables to reproduce the flow to be useable. |
