Hi
I want to model a noise propagation problem near the flow exiting a nozzle by CFX. Please help me to find a tutorial to do it. |

There is no tutorial to do this. CFX does not have an acoustic solver. It can be done, but it is an advanced use of CEL and is computationally expensive, as it must be done in the time domain rather than the frequency domain.

Hi Mahdinili
maybe there is not exectly what you are looking for but there is a macro availible only for low speed turbomachinery (Mach<0.4) in CFX-Post, tab - Turbo/Turbo Macros/Turbo Noise. This macro has only a few options and gives you Sound Pressure Level, Sound Power Level, overall and for each harmonic frequency, and directivity of harmonics. But maybe you can use it indirectly. By the way, does anybody know how that macro works? |
