Hi,

I am preparing a LES simulation in CFX13 and I want the inlet velocity profile to vary with time. I have the time series of velocity u, v and w components from a previous simulation for some points of the inlet boundary. How do I make CFX read these values at each timestep?

Thanks!

I assume you have quite a bit of spacial and temporal resolution in your dataset so that it is too big to fit in CEL. In that case probably best to write a fortran routine which reads the file each timestep.

Thanks for answering!

Do you have any idea of where I can find a similar example or a tutorial? The help files were not of much help.

Thanks!

I don't know of any available examples, but CFX support probably has one at hand. I would ask them.
