Hi,
I solve a diffusion only problem (generation of a component using a source term @ a wall boundary and diffusion of the component in fluid domain then to solid domain and in the solid domain there is a rxn ( kind of adsorption) expressed as a sink (using sub domain) and source for a component formed in the rxn. I used additional variable (AV) as a diffusing component and all works fine. But, when the same problem turned to a convective diffusive problem (by adding a momentum source (general momentum source with x component only) to represent an internal fan contained in the fluid domain) the concentration level that cfx reported looks messed (physically unexpected). what is the matter? I tried to use a converged steady state solution of the momentum and turbulence as an initial value for my transient problem, the execution goes okay but the answer I got concerning the concentration level in the fluid phase and in the solid phase looks not correct. |

Can you post some images of what you are modelling?

Hi ghorrocks, sorry for my absence, due to some problem I was not around my work last week. Thanks so much for your interest on my problem. I post the geometry of my modelling as a profile.

The delay does not worry me, no need to apologise.
I cannot see the geometry you have posted. Where have you put it? |

Okay, will not apologies again, haha...don't know why the post is not visible...let me try again. Look below. the wall bisecting the fan and the AV generator is type symmetry.
