Dear all,

a very simple question about step function in CFX... sorry but i don't remember how to use it.

I am running a transient simulation and I need to impose a variable temperature at a wall domain as a function of time.

I need to set up an expression for temperature such that:

Temperature= 25° from 0sec up to 10sec included
Temperature= 40° from 11sec up to 20sec included
Temperature= 60° from 21sec up to 35sec included
Temperature= 100° from 36sec up to 60sec (60sec is the end of transient simulation)

Many thanks for your help.

Kind regards

You can generate this using step or if functions in CEL but it is easier to set up a function like this as a 1D interpolation function. Make it a function of time and use the function to set the temperature.
