Folks,
I compared v17.1 and v15.0 that I am using and saw that this option is available in the newer version. both versions are using the same license file and thus I do not think it is a license issue. Also in both versions beta features are enabled. Judging by the date that this conversation has started I assume there has to be a way to get around this problem in earlier versions. I hope those people that have solved this issue in earlier versions respond and let me know how they overcame this issue. I really do not want to upgrade to v17.1 for some reasons and would like to find a solution in my own v15.0 Thanks, Ali |

If Far is correct and Menter does not think the model is physically correct then ANSYS may well have removed it entirely from the software.

It is there in GUI in v17 but not in v15. I read in some other thread that this option is only available using command editor in earlier versions. The question is why I am getting that error when I try to activate it through command editor in v15.
Also if you look at the transport equation for intermittency in SST model you will see that it is not based on physics and it is something that ansys has been saying for long. It is just designed in such a way to produce acceptable results for a wide range of inputs. As long as it is working just fine then there is no problem in using it. The question is how I can activate it? Also if anyone has any documentation in this regard I would really appreciate it if they can share it with me. I dug in ansys documentation and theory guides but I could not find any good solid material. Thanks, Ali |

in my case the solution was well.... stupid Try to switch off and again switch on beta features. This helped me. I spent a lot of time finding out where the problem is like you. Jepice |
