There is a "Multi-Component" model in CFX for the mixture simulation.
And cfx also has a 'free surface' model which is one of the multi-phase model. Actually I also want to simulate a multi-component model with free surface, however, it seems that cfx is not able to deal with the 'mass fraction' in multicomponent and 'volume fraction' in multiphase appropriately. I still don't know how solve this problem now. Does anybody have more information regarding this problem? |

what do you want to simulatewith cfx?
i haven't had eny problem with volum fraction. it works properly in free surface cases. |

what material do you use?
Is that a multi-component material? or a PURE material? If a pure material, the cfx works appropriately. |
