We recently installed CFX 13.0 on our 64-bit PC (Windows XP). We can get it to run on 4 CPUs but if we try to run it on 1 or 3 CPUs an error of not being able to allocate enough memory is given.
We can run CFX 11.0 on 1 and 3 CPUs on this machine. Not sure what's going on with version 13.0. |

There's an unofficial, unsupported fix (exe file) to CFX v13 that you can get by contacting ANSYS tech support.
I had an issue with v13 and memory allocation, in that it only allocates half the amount of memory for reals or integers even though it was okay in v12.1. I cannot remember the full details but it's something like that. In the end I cannot run my large meshes unless I double my physical memory. So until we get either v13.1 or an offical fix I'm staying with v12.1. |
