Dear All,

I have a question of how to measure the dynamic pressure in CFX post.

Thank you for your answer.

Hi kiat,
make an expression like dyn = 0.5*rho*V^2 (or) dyn=total pressure- static pressure then assign a variable like Dynamic pressure to the expression you created in post and plot the contour now.

Dear All,

I was applying the boundary condition, the mass flow rate at the inlet surface and static pressure is zero at the outlet surface. So, I was checking the static pressure at the outlet surface in CFX post, it did not the same value. Anybody knows how to obtain the same value.

[Total pressure is sum of static and dynamic pressure. I measured the total pressure and dynamic pressure at the outlet surface.]

Thank you for your respond.

Thanks for your advice, but my dynamic pressure reached to 1.5e31 according to your advice. Can you explain that? thanks!!

Your simulation has diverged. You are just about to get an overflow error, which means this FAQ is relevant: https://www.cfd-online.com/Wiki/Ansy...do_about_it.3F
