i've been trying this problem of drag reduction using retractable spikes on a blunt body with large cone angle at hypersonic regime. i've generated a structured mesh using icem. the results for different spike attachments are matching only for zero angle of attack. but the results are not matching for higher angles of attack. i really dont understand where the problem is.
