Hello I need to write expression of temperature at line as a function of coordinate y. Coordinates x and z are constant. I tried to look in help, but I had found no solution. One possibility is to export it as chart values, but it would be too complicated, because I need to work with other values in CFX post.
Thank you for answers |

hi handrew,
i don't know the solution exactly.but i have an idea of doing this.make an expression like A = Y (i.e CFX variable),and a function named B with 1D interpolation scheme(like y=0 m;t=100deg c and y=10 m ;t=1000 deg c) and another expression named C = A(B). It may work for your need. |

This is easy to do with a CEL expression function or 1D interpolation function. Just make the input variable y and the output variable temeprature.

That s what I want to do. But i don t know the right syntax. I suppose that I should use function probe, but I don t know how to use it with line ( with variable y). I didn t find the solution in help either.

In CFX-Pre, click the 1D interpolation function option. It will sort the syntax out for you.
