Hi
I am trying to do a simulation of a waste water release into a strait with stratified salinity. The current in the strait is 0.016 m/s and the salinity varies from 10 psu at the top to 17 psu at the bottom. I am using the mixture model to control the properties of the salt water. The solver introduces instability and the flow becomes chaotic. ANSYS support in UK is working on the problem, but so far they have not found any solution. Does anyone have any experience with stratified salt water? Regards Stig |
