Hello everyone,
I'm a beginner and i'm planning to simulate a heart pump (centrifugal) through CFX. First of all i want to ask if CFX is the appropriate program for this job. If it is, i wish to know how can i declare blood as a material. I mean i ve seen someone declaring it as a "pure substance" and someone else as a "fixed composition mixture". Which is more proper??Is there any tip for this?? At last, i would like to know which CFX lectures are needed to be done from Ansys training. I ve seen most of them but i haven't seen something useful for my "job" (except the centrifugal pump). Thanks anyway! |

I would refer you to the copious literature on the topic. Blood is a very complex material and has tricks like red blood corpuscles can align themselves and squeeze themselves into capillaries apparently much smaller than they are - to capture effects on this tiny scale would be very difficult. But as soon as you start simplifying things it will become tractable. Again, go to the literature as there will be hundreds of papers on this topic.

Literature = peer reviewed papers. That means visit your local university library.
