Hi friends,
I'm simulating the pressure vessel of a pressurized water reactor. I'm in transient state. In CFX-Pre, in output control, it is defined to write "backup" and "TrnResults" files for the "velocity", "temperature" & "pressure". ANSYS writes the "TrnResults" file for velocity, but for temperature & pressure after each timestep I encounter this error: ***** ERROR #001100279 has occured in subroutine ErrAction. Message: Write_res: Failed to rename 0.bak ERROR #001100279 has occured in subroutine ErrAction. Message: Write_res: Failed to rename 0.trn ***** Can any body help me to solve this problem??? Need your help urgently!!! |

Hi neewbie,
Thanks for your seggestion. I set the compression to "standard", but again I received the same error. It seems that it's impossible to default "backup" & "TrnResults" files for more than one variable simultaneously. I appreciate any more help from friend!!! |

hi,
create one result at a time containing u,p,T not one for each. i think that´s the problem when dealing with trn´s. just pic the selected variables option and choose u,p,T (holding ctrl+). neewbie |

It's a bug in CFX 12.0 which is fixed (I believe) in CFX 12.1.

Hi, neewbie
Thanks a lot for your help. I obeyed your suggestion. It worked successfully!!! And an experience I would like to mention here so that it may be helpful for friends is that in making "backup" file, it's necessary to use "standard" option, otherwise if you use "select variable", when runnig backup file you cannot have the previous timestep results. Again THANK YOU!!! |

Hi cfdgremlin,
Yes you're write. That's a big bug in CFX 12.0. Fortunately here in cfd-online forum we can help each other to solve these bugs. |
