siddharthpandey is on a distinguished road
Hello all,

To solve a simple detonation problem I have a cylinder volume meshed geometry with one end closed and the other an open, using CFX pre v11 with fluid material as methane air wd1, combustion model EDM (B coeff -1 checked) i want to ignite it at the closed end, and capture the flame propagation and pressure spikes but i am not able to capture that, what is the normal procedure of things that need to be taken care of while simulating detonations and capturing the propagations of flames, and also which combustion model is apt for doing this simulation.
I would be grateful if anyone could help me out.
Regards,
Siddharth
