Hi all,
my question is if is possible in CFX set two different interface for a single surface ? By default cfx says that there is a problem: same surface for 2 boundary condition. But how do you simulate a problem same mine? the picture explain the problem. The upper surface of Body A is in contact with air (body B) and another solid body ( Body C). body C is hot and i want simulate the distribution of temperature in body A so body A has 2 interface: one with body B and one with body C ...how set up cfx-pre? Thank you |

You have to split the interface on solid A into two sections. One section interfaces with B and the other with C. You cannot have a single surface interface with multiple domains.

Maybe you could just use both downward faces of body C and Fluid B in the same Domain Interface definition.
Worked for me, but i connected one fluid domain face with two faces of separate solid domains. Alternatively, have you thought about building both solids as one model and defining the hot part as a subdomain? Might be another workaround. |
