Hello everybody.
When i want to analyse a assembly geometry by use of the ANSYS-CFX,i must firstly import the geometry into the ANSYS-DesignModal,then i export the format of the parasolid to the ANSYS-ICEM in order to mesh the geometry . In the ICEM ,i must firstly build some of the body represented different materal , then i use the auto-mesh tools(tera) to mesh the geometry. But when i export the mesh to the CFX ,the assembly is only a part. so what's the problem ? |

Do you want to set boundary conditions?
If that is the case you have to create parts in ICEM containing the surfaces of your assembly. You will then be able to select them as boundary conditions (after you set a domain). Hope that helps |

Also you can edit mesh in CFX pre (right click on mesh region -> edit). Start picking faces and move them to a new region. You should use 'fluid select' mouse mode while picking to select whole surface.
