Hi to everyone,
I made a model in solidworks and I imported it in ICEM for the mesh. I divided it in regions as well. Now I have to import it in CFX for simulation. I use the solver as Ansys CFX Structural solver Ansys Then I salve my project. The project is salving always as name.prj CFX doesn't ricognize this format. I try to write name.cfx5 but naturally the program salve the file as name.cfx5.prj I can't open the mesh in cfx. What's the problem????? Please help me!!! |

I work in workbench (of course ICEM has the similar techniques) then save my mesh in name.gtm form (the way has been explained in WB guide) and then I import it in the cfx and use it. try to understand which suffix bout cfx and ICEM does support, then use it. test suffix .gtm, find the way for saving (or exporting) it in ICEM program. Hi,
Saving and creating an output mesh are two different things. The *.prj file is used by Icem for your whole project (ie. geometry, blocking, mesh). If you want to output the mesh go to the mesh section and then to the output tab. There you can choose to output to cfx. |
