Hello,
Is there any way to set different convergence criteria for momentum & mass and heat transfer for CFX? Currently, there is only one setting for all. I know that Fluent is able to do it but not sure whether CFX is able to do that too. Appreciate if there are anyone that are able to advise me. Many thanks! |

Right click on "Solver control" in CFX-Pre > Edit > Equation Class Settings tab!

Hi Zboud,
Under the basic setting of solver control, there is a convergence criteria setting for RMS. By setting the RMS value, it will set the convergnce criteria for energy, momentum and so on.. I wanted to set the convergence critegia of individual item like, thermal energy - 1e-6, momentum - 1e-3... Is that possible? Need your advice. Thanks. |

Hi,
I am running transient and the convergence control does not appear at the equation class setting. I realised that the convergence control for individual item will only appear when the run is set to steady state. Does that mean that I will not be able to set individual convergence criteria if the run is set to transient? |

In Pre, right click on Solver Control and select Edit. Under Convergence Criteria, check Conservation Target and set a value. I understand that 0.01 is a pretty good value to use.
