I am modeling a centrifugal fan, it looks a lot like a centrifugal pump.

When I review the solution report, I get a certain value for the peripheral velocity U. It is about 26m/s. My value for cu is negative (about -8m/s).

I have applied the "Turbo Mode" in CFX PRE, and used the Fan model. One of the default choices in the Fan model is the Alternate Rotation Model.

My question is: Could it be that the value for cu is actually 26-8=18 m/s? I know that the value for cu is supposed to be positive.

Thanks!
