Hello Everybody!

Im doing a simulation for the university. I have done all the preprocessing work on a local machine with Ansys 12. Now I want to solve my case on the cluster. But theres just Ansys 11 installed.

Anybody knows a possibility to solve Ansys12.def files on Ansys11? Although I fear it isnt possible.
Or is there a possibility to write Ansys11.def files with Ansys12?

Thank you!

No. You will have to prepare the def file in V11. Or even better, get the tech support guys to upgrade the cluster to V12, it runs better and faster so it is worth it.

Hey Glenn,

thanks for your reply. Thats what I have feared.

The cluster runs v12 but without GUI so I could solve it. But then I couldnt do the postprocessing.
There s just one tech support guy and from the few talks we had Im convinced he's just not willing to do it....

saludos

You can run the post processor from the command line - "cfx5post" will do it. Also you could just transfer your results back to your V12 machine and view it there.
