hai,
i am simulating an underwater vehicle, which is in the form of ellipsoid. For this i modeled one half of the ellipsoid in a rectangular box, ellipsoid half on one face of rectangular box. now my problem is, I want the simulation to be so that it should represent the vehicle at a given depth from surface of water. My question is what boundary condition is to be applied to the face of rectangular box representing the free surface. will opening condition do the trick? If so what sub condition in that? please somebody help me with this. i have attached the geometry model with this. |

hello,
The basic settings of the free surface flow are described perfectly in the CFX tutorial. (It's called "2D_Bump"). Based on this .cfx file you can define the most important setting to your model... Regards Roland |
