I have two models they have the same geometry but different mesh- one is created by CFX which has a finer mesh and I have a result file for this model and for the other model with the coarser mesh which is created by other program (can be COSMOL , fluent or NX flow, ….), I have stored the coordinates of the mesh (x, y, z) in a text file-
I want to know the velocities at these points - I know interpolation of the two model will do that so basicaly I am trying to export data FROM CFX to another program using these points.Does nay one know how to do that? thanks |

I have an idea, but never try this.
Interpolate the result of the finer mesh into the coarser mesh, so you need to import the coarser mesh into CFX first. Write a def file. And then take advantage of the interpolate tool in CFX Solver to map the result from fine to coarse. Create points of the known coordinates in CFX Post to get velocities would really be a mass work. |

You can only use this to interpolate CFX results from one solution onto another CFX def file.
You can export the data from CFX as CGNS, which most codes can read. -CycLone |

But I do not understand the second part of your comment (You can export the data from CFX as CGNS, which most codes can read.) How would that help me? |
