hi. i am making a geometry in ICEM such that.. a small hollow pipe of outer diameter 36 mm and inner diameter is 18 mm. i want to make 18 equidistance hole throughout its length. ithe length is 500 mm.

i have prepared hollow pipe, but i am confused how to prepare small holes at the faces, which should be time saving and easier method.

please reply as soon as possible.

thanks..

Hi,

Please do not use "urgent". If it is urgent then contact your CFX support, that is what you pay them for. Nobody is paid to answer questions here - we only do it because we enjoy helping people.

You question is a basic solid modelling and meshing question. Have you done the tutorials? Have you done a training course?

Don't you have a CAD program to do that for you and then export into an IGES file? Much faster and easier.

Or, just use DesignModeler instead.

Cheers!

Hi,

As I said (and cfdguy has also said), this seems like a basic solid modelling question. I suggest you do the tutorials provided with a solid modelling package and/or ANSYS and you should be able to work this out easily.
