Dear CFX users

I want to plot the range of mach no from 1 to 1.6 in the fluid domain, my question is that

" how to create the surface for specified range of variable i.e mach no from 1 to 1.6"

In fluet it is easy. just we use the clip range command.

I m stuck in this problem

Any help will be highly appreciated.

Best Regards SA

Dear

Thanks for you quick reply. It is valuable comment but it is working only on the specified surfaces, for example, pressure inlet, wall etc. I would like to extract the whole range (e.g mach no from 1 to 1.6) in complete fluid domain not only on surface.

Hope i have made my self clear.

Regards SA

Hi ,

If this is your problem you have addressed then the following points need to be seen: 1. Go to CFX post select contour from main bar, name the contour as contour 1. 2.In 'geometry'. Select the 'Domain' of interest 3.Select the 'location' you need to have contour. 4.Select the 'variable' as mach number if it is relative relative mach number you need. 5.Select the 'Range'1 to 1.6 6.Select the 'no. of contours' according to clarity. 7.Select 'Apply'. Any clarification required,do let me know.

Regards, Jwala.

Then use volume > isovolume > variable: Machnumber > mode: between values.
