[CFX-Pre] Turbulence option

Hello, Which turbulence option must I use to simulate a vehicule in ordinary conditions ? And in race conditions (240km/h) ? Thank you.

Hi,
Depends on what you are trying to do! For most car applications to get good drag/lift numbers you need SAS/DES/LES as the transient vorticies in the wake are important. Unless your car is very streamlined the simple 2-eqn models like k-e and SST are not going to be useful, except as just preliminary stuff. Glenn Horrocks |
