Hi, everyone
I'm using ansys workbench to creat cfd mesh. however, in the pop-menu of "mesh", there are two types: one is CFD mesh, and the another one is "CFX-mesh". CFD mesh in awe can creat hex mesh easily, but in CFX-mesh, we can not produce hex but only tex mesh, also can make prism. i really don't know the difference between CFD mesh and CFX-mesh, can anybody explain a little? Thanks very much. |

Hi
You can create the mesh in CFD mesh, Open it with ICEM and translate it to cxf5 for use in CFX Pre. BOL |

Or you can build your geometry on SolidWorks software, then save as "name.STEP" file and import it on ICEM CFD.
