Inlet as a prescribed displacement

Hello Everybody,
I have started with CFX a few time ago, and I still have some basic doubts. I would like to use a inlet not with a constant velocity (as the tutorial teaches), but as a prescribed displacement, that would be cyclic. Is it possible? If yes, can anybody help me to do that? Thanks! |

Is it possible to use the idea of predefined mesh deformation proposed in this message below? If it is possible, can anybody indicate or advise me with some literature where I can find this procedures?

Hi,
You can do this using the mesh deformation defined by specified displacement. The remainder of the mesh is moved using a smoothing algorithm. Look in the CFX tutorial guide for some hints - the ball valve tutorial is the one to look at. Glenn Horrocks |
