Periodic boundray with compressible flow

Hi
I wanna run a LES compressible flow with periodic boundaries. Can anyone suggest how do I go about that? I can create a long duct and obtain a fully developed flow and then use inlet profile for my actual duct, but I think this will not give me good results. I want to use periodic boundary. Is there a way to do that in CFX? Thanks |

where do u want to use these periodic boundaries? (top/bottom or front side and back side parts of your geometry?) why donīt u use a profile data of components of your velocities from the literature?

Typically, I don't think it's recommended to use LES with periodic or symmetry boundaries. By adding these boundary types, you will be overconstraining the turbulence.

Thank you for your answers. I need to get fully developed flow in my channel, thats why I wanna use periodic boundary. Rogerio, can you please explain what do you mean by literature velocities. How can I obtain those? Thank you
