What is MMS data path?

Default What is MMS data path?

Hi,

When I read the content about MMS, thers is so many directory commend MAKDIR CHGDIR...

I want to know what is the difference to the directory in windows system like C:/.../... ?

Hi,

The MMS is the data storage structure inside CFX. It has a heirarchical structure, similar to a hard drive but the MMS is purely an internal CFX thing so the data inside CFX can be stored and retrieved. The MMS also has some smarts so it can increase or decrease its memory footprint on the fly by storing variables which are used frequently and not storing (and therefore require re-calculation) variables which are not used frequently.

This allows you to optimise between memory footprint and simulation speed.
