I can't find anywhere answer for the question how to calculate acoustic pressure in near field using CFX and LES model. Is it possible to get this information directly from the variables which i got from the calculations using some kind of expression? I read something that it's possible to calculate it from the turbulance kinetic energy but when i use Les model i don't have this variable. Please help me and thank's for reply!!!

Hi Sebastian
Can you please explain what is it that you are trying to model. Yes, you can obtain your acoustic pressure in near field using the variables which are available in post. First, explain what are you trying to do? cfx newbie |

It's a flow over a cylinder and airfoil. Just an academic example but we're trying to compare the acoustic results which we obtainded by our program with cfx result.
