Hi
I am interested on FSI. I know it is possible to perform FSI using CFX(fluid)+ANSYS(solid). I want to know how accurate is FSI using CFX and Ansys compare to other packages (LS-Dyna, ADINA). thanks |

I am beginner in using Adina for FSI. As I know, people use CFX+Ansys, Fluent+Abaqus+MPCCI.
Do not know about LS-Dyna. |

hello
i start using cfx and ansys, but there was several issues. so i try fluent + abaqus +mpcci and also adina. the best solution is ls dyna with ALE for fsi, the fsi should be only in explicit situations so the abaqus + fluent etc is not working very good. also star cd have very good solutions |

Thanks,
What do you think about ADINA?. you said you have tried it. LS DYNA is good but the problem is that this package was orginally develped for structural analysis so there is some limtations for fluid models. like you can not model turbulence, non-newtonian fluids, etc. Regards, |

yes you are right about ls dyna, but there are some thing that you can not simulate them with any other solution,
adina is a very good software but you need a lot of time to know that, and it is not so friendly. if you need that for a long time project go to adina cu |
