Mass conservation equation for multi-component flow

This is the mass conservation equation for multi-component flow in CFX. I am wondering if the densities marked in the red box means the same thing? That is, the ratio of the mass of component i to the volume of the mixed fluid.

No, they do not appear to be the same thing, which should be obvious since they are different symbols, but I tried to follow the equations to double check.
The second one looks like just the normal density of component i. I'm happy to be corrected though. |
