Dear all,
I am facing problems in meshing the complex geometry. I have the following doubts. Please clarify this. 1. To preset the quality criteria before doing the meshing like sqewness <0.8 and min angle > 15 deg. etc. Is it possible to set the quality criteria before starting the meshing? 2. To set the maximum mesh elements before doing mesh? 3. Kindly give some general guidelines and documents to repair mesh manually for non-manifold elements and surface orientation error etc. Is it any tutorial available to practice repair mesh option? Thanks in advance With regards, JSM |

You use the split vertex tool to fix non-manifold vertices. The help file explains how. Surface orientation errors indicate overlapping elements. The only way I know to fix these is to remesh the elements.

Hi Andrew,
Thanks for your reply. Could you give me the tutorial file name. It is more helpful to me. Is it possible to set the mesh quality what we want before starting the meshing? Thanks with regards, JSM |
