I've some problems with CFD analysis of a Pelton turbine. If I change the geometry, CFX doesn't care and it returns me the same values of force and torque. It happens even if I move the geometry of 15 mm and with meshes fine or coarse. Someone tells me that it's a problem of Ansys CFX, when you work with an incompressible fluid. Help me, Glenn, please!

Lu, who are you? I intend to study some day Pelton turbines! I would like to know about the geometry parameters involving this kind of turbine! In this type of hydraulic turbine, it has two domains: air and water. Could you give us your experience about this simulation? Where are doing the mesh? Are you making all the simulation or only one part of the domain computational? If you wanna talk about this interesting subject, see below my e-mail and MSN: rogeriofbrito@oi.com.br and MSN: rogeriobrito2007@hotmail.com

Lu,
I am working on free surface flows. I would like to know the boundary conditions and the other parameters which you would have defined. May be I can help you in this case. You can share problem to me on my id vishal.indomitable@gmail.com |
