Hello,
look in your /tmp/ direction. There should be a pvmd.XXXX file. If you delete this file it should work. Regards |

Thanks Martin:
But i´ve tried that before and didnt get good results.. When I put in my command window: ./cfx5solve -def 1.def -par-local -partition 4 I get no answer ( im not sure but i think is halted) the message i related before was when i write in the console: ./cfxparallel -setup -local 2 and now i know the error message was a consecuence of the many times i´ve been tring to setup without halting the pvm. Fininishin i kill all my pvm process and when i try the cfx5solve command i dont get any answer another time. What its my problem?? Thanks. |

I never had this problem. Did you try to start this run/another run in serial mode?

Hi;
Yes, it works on serial mode. The problem comes with the parallel. Should i do anything special to launch in local parallel?. I´ve just buy my machine and install cfx in a suse 10.3 distribution. Thanks Javier. |

Where did you run your case? "./cfx5solve" indicates that you are running it at CFX installation folder. This may cause the problem.

Hi and thanks!
I change the launch directory and it seem to improve. But i´m still in problems: When I launch with cfx5solve -par-local partition 2 ti generates two files in the temp directories with the name PVMD.0 y PVML.0. When i edit the pvml.0 file i see this lines: [t80040000] 04/24 09:31:34 Equipo-A (0.0.0.0:1077) LINUXX86_64 3.4.4 [t80040000] 04/24 09:31:34 ready Thu Apr 24 09:31:34 2008 [t80040000] 04/24 09:31:34 tm_connect() can't open t-auth file: No such file or directory I dont know what is the t-auth file.. can anyone help me please. Thanks Javier. |
