Pugazh is on a distinguished road
I have created a structured mesh using blocking for a 3d rectangular shape with variable area. After solving with cfx my results are not symmetric. When I checked the grid lines at the midplane it is different than the mesh i created using icem cfd. But other than the midplane(z=0), the grid is structured. May I know the reason or have i done any mistake in meshing.

Is your question: what is that unexpected diagonal line on the mesh plot?

Answer: I suspect your plot is a cross section of the mesh, and you drew a cross section of the mesh at the midplane. Due to numerical approximations the mesh is not precisely aligned to the midplane, so this is where your mid plane section intersected the mesh midplane with its small numerical error.

Is your question: I have a symmetrical mesh but my results are not symmetric?

Answer: Yes, fluids do that. Have a look at flow around a cylinder: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/K%C3%A..._vortex_street
