Dear All, I am going with a m/c having two Intel Quadcores Config: E5420Series with Intel® 45nm technology, clock Speeds 2.5Ghz each,1333 FSB,12 MB L2Cache and 16GB Ram. compared to the previous one with a single E 5320 Quadcore and 16 GB Ram which was not using more than 12 GB of my RAM and Processor use was always abt 100 %).
So can I expect some performance improvements? How should I Partition so that I can get the best performance from the available configurations? Thanks in Advance for your response. Pankaj. |

Hi,
If you are on a commercial license then forget quad core and get dual cores. Try to upgrade the processor speed and FSB speed. Make the individual CPU cores as fast a possible rather than lots of cores. Glenn Horrocks |
