Boundary Conditions for Rudder in Hemisphere

Hi,
Im trying to model a rudder that is fitted to a symmetry wall at the roof of a hemishperical region. There are inlet and outlet conditions that are fine on the front and rear sides of the hemisphere but I cant figure out what conditions are required at the sidewalls of the region? Hi
Can you not just get rid of them completely and just extend you inlet and outlet to make a two half spheres? What is the situation you are modelling? Steven |

Just modeling a rudder at 0 and 15 degrees angle of attack, its a project for University and we've been supplied this mesh...

A Free Slip Wall will have the minimum impact on the solution.
Mind you if the wall is hemispeherical maybe the normal velocity=0 condition might actually be false. |
