Dear friends,
I want to analyze "flow over a flat infinte plate". But we cannot model an infinte plate. So, what type of boundary condition should be applied in CFX at the outlet to create the situation of infinte plate?? (a 2-D problem is being solved). Thank you.. |

Simply set up an enclosure and extrude the flat plate profile all the way across. Set the walls to free slip and away you go. You can also set opposite walls to have mirrored meshes, you can of course simple make the enclosure one element thick.... hope that answers your question.
