Dear all; I have some problems importing mesh from icem 11 My geometry is a sail, when I tray to import the mesh, there are a problem (error): " There was a problem importing mesh from requested file. The importing proces reported the following problem: unable to import mesh; Invalid local face number(0)for element 15897 in 2D region sail.
Any idea about the problem?? best regards!! J. |

Where did you make the geometry and mesh? What is your solve (Fluent or CFX, ...)?

My solver is CFX and I made the mesh in ICEM 11, I try to export to CFX with output, ANCYS CFX, and imoprted ass ICEM mesh *.cfx5. But the error is the follow: " There was a problem importing mesh from requested file. The importing proces reported the following problem: unable to import mesh; Invalid local face number(0)for element 15897 in 2D region sail."
Do know why? best regards and thanks! J. |

did u use blocks to make the mesh on icem cfd? if yes, change de number of the nodes at this region local face number(0)for element 15897, in 2D region sail, to see if this error stops!
