I'm designing a centrifugal compressor on icem. I have some problems with the periodicity set up for the mesh generation. the computation of the mesh doesn't work, I always get this message: "min_dt = -0.193853 at curve crv.74, no need to use topo thin, can't handle existing mesh stradles boundary". I already have a structured mesh for one surface (which is not the periodic surface), and I want to generate a volume mesh for the rest.

I've got the same problem! The message "can't handle existing mesh stradles boundary" appear and then the mesher stops.

I don't know.. just I tried to match the existing mesh shape to be the same as the boundary, and used 'build topology'.
Tried pretty much everything I know to repair geometry but I keep getting that same message.. I was able to handle the problem with curves thus it doesn't say anything about dt or curve, but it still says 'can't handle existing mesh stradles boundary'.. Does anybody know what that message means? "can't handle existing mesh stradles boundary" |
