Hi,

i've set a mesh which gave a converged solution ,now when refuning this mesh the RMS oscillated , i think that the mesh quality became bad , is it feasible to just repair the mesh, or i should which to another mesh.

thanks

Hi,

Time spent improving mesh quality is never wasted.

i do not know what package you used to produce the mesh.if you are using icem, you can use the powerful mesh quality checking tool to examine the mesh and find out which part of the mesh have bad quality.

Hi,

The main mesh quality issues are aspect ratio, orthogonality (for hex meshes, tet meshes like equilateral triangles) and a gradual change in element size. The implications of these quality issues are discussed in the documentation.
