Hi,
i've set a mesh which gave a converged solution ,now when refuning this mesh the RMS oscillated , i think that the mesh quality became bad , is it feasible to just repair the mesh, or i should which to another mesh. thanks |

then what should actually improved on the mesh ,it means which parametrers should be improved ,if the area (region ) causing the problem is known ?

i do not know what package you used to produce the mesh.if you are using icem, you can use the powerful mesh quality checking tool to examine the mesh and find out which part of the mesh have bad quality.

Hi,
The main mesh quality issues are aspect ratio, orthogonality (for hex meshes, tet meshes like equilateral triangles) and a gradual change in element size. The implications of these quality issues are discussed in the documentation. Glenn Horrocks |
