User Surface massFlow

Hi, has anyone experienced CFX-POST 11.0 failure while trying to calculate the massFlow or any massFlowAve across a user surface ? My own User Surface is made out of a velocity contour in the oulet plane (an opening bc) of my domain.
If you tried it and experienced no problem it could also be good to know. Thanks, Felix |

Hello Windhair,
This is exactly what doesn't work. For example, using the function calculator to evaluate the mass flow, CFX-Post crashes. I see the progress bar (bottom right of the screen) trying to calculate the Assembly and it gets stuck at 100%. The solver then stops responding and I have to manually kill the process. Did you experience any similar trouble ? Felix |

I have no problem during such caculation. Maybe you can try to caculate it on some other surface or for a simple geometry.

It works perfectly on many surfaces but not on conical user surfaces or contour-bounded user surfaces. I'll keep on investigating this.
