hi
i going to buy a new PC,& talking about hardware i'm not strong !, so: does the new intel core2 quad really 2 times faster then the core 2 duo? does 4 Go memory ( 2x2 Go) better then 4x1 Go ? is there any equivalent to the intel QUAD for AMD? |

Hi,
If you have a commercial license the cost of the licenses far exceeds the hardware cost. Therefore you need the fastest CPU you can get on a single-process basis. At the moment that is Intel Woodcrest 5160 CPUs but these are being overtaken by the latest update by Intel, I think the 6850 is a little faster and other one just released is faster still. If you are on an academic license then the equation is a bit different as the license costs are far cheaper. If you are using a pirated license then this conversation will cease here! i donīt know about what you said, but Intel Xeon processors is apropriated to running problems like that during many days, for example, without stopping!
