Is it possible to import an AutoCAD 2d .dwg file into WB Design Modeler?? I need it to perform a quasi-bidimensional analysis in CFX, extruding 2D mesh. Thank You.

Workbench doesn't support direct import of Autocad's dwg file. However, it supports import of an intermediary ACIS format (with .SAT extension) that Autocad can export to, provided that the geometry in Autocad is a closed solid (i.e. not line segments, but solid with volume). Therefore you have to do all the extrusion/revolving in Autocad before you can export it and re-import it into Workbench. Ref: ANSYS Workbench R10.0 documentation |
