I was simulating a compressor with volute. I made some streamlines in CFD-Post and it seems the static entropy first go up and then decreased. As the flow is approximately adiabatic in compressor, how can static entropy goes down?

Have you computed the massFlowAve(Static Entropy)@Inlet and Outlet and compared them?

(massFlowAve(Static Entropy)@Plane 1 - massFlowAve(Static Entropy)@Plane 2 )/ massFlowAve(Static Entropy)@Plane 1 And it trend to be the Static Entropy decreased about 3%. |
