How to edit point coordinates in ICEM?

I am beginner at CFX and now I study ICEM grid generator. I wonder how I can edit point coordinates in ICEM?
I found that after point creation I can't modify its coordinates. I can delete it and create again with new coordinates but I did not find how to modify coordinates of existing point. Please, help me. Alexey. |

Hi Alexey,
I dont think that feature is available in ICEM, do you know any mesh generator that allows that? I am also new to ICEM, but I've also tried to edit geometries without deleting them - but it doesn't seem possible. Please let me know if you figure it out. Best Christian |

You can not edit any point in ICEM. You need to create new point and also curves & surfaces attached to it if any.
I do not know any meshing software that does it. Dedicated geometry building / modelling software can do this. Chirag |

Yes, it seems it is impossible.
I found the following possibility: Tab Mesh -> Move Nodes (icon with arrow and two bold spots) Unfortunately this function does not act upon points. As I know STAR-CD can modify existing points. . . I have many problems with ICEM 11.0. For example, when I try to make blocking initialization (after primitive geometry creation â€" 4 points and 4 lines) often error occurs: Error meshing edge 22 14 And instead of white block rectangle two infinity lines appear . . . What is the matter? I don't know. . . |

Yeah, it is possible. You can translate, rotate it, copy it or even edit its x,y,z locations if you open the .tin file in a text editor.

James, thanks a lot! It is really solution of this problem but it looks a perversion . . .
Thank you. |

Yes - Simply go to the Move/Copy Geometry icon. From there you can select points, curves, and/or surfaces. Then you simply enter the translation values (X,Y, and/or Z) and move the point.
