More and more computers are running with windows vista. So it is important to know whether workbench and cfx run smoothly on vista system. Searching from internet, found still many problems exist when running workbech and cfx on vista. Is that right? When buying a new computer, xp or vista should we select? Thanks a lot!

Hi,

ANSYS V11 SP1 fully supports Vista. It is not supported in previous versions of ANSYS or CFX. People complaining about problems with Vista simply have not installed a version which supports it. It was only released a few months back.

I have not seen any benchmark results but I don't think there is much performance difference between the two operating systems for CFX or ANSYS.
