Default radiation in semi transparent melt

Hello everybody,

I need to include the radiation heat exchange in a model of semi-transparent fluid flow (it is heated electrically). Unfortuantely, I have not found - which radiation model can be used to simulate the radiative heat exchange in the interior of the melt and at the same time to model the radiation heat flux leaving from the free surface of the melt? Do I need to define a solid air domain above the free surface of the melt?
